About the Role
This is an opportunity to join Philanthrope as a Consultant, a core delivery role for those who combine analytical depth with client partnership. You will manage C-2 searches end to end, support C-1 and C-suite mandates, and ensure the smooth, structured delivery of high-quality search projects.
You’ll balance delivery with development — leading search execution, supporting Principals and Partners, and mentoring Associates as part of an accountable, collaborative team.
Every assignment will stretch both your intellect and your empathy: understanding what drives leadership decisions, how organisations evolve, and how culture sustains value.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead the execution of C-2 searches from briefing through to completion
• Support C-1 and C-suite engagements through structured research, evaluation, and client interaction
• Conduct market mapping, candidate outreach, and behavioural assessment
• Produce clear, evidence-based reports and recommendations for clients
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with candidates and stakeholders
• Contribute to firm-wide improvement in systems, research quality, and methodology
• Uphold cooperative principles — collaboration, integrity, and shared accountability — in every aspect of your work
Requirements
You are thoughtful, structured, and grounded. You balance commercial discipline with human insight and care about doing things properly.
3–5 years’ experience in executive search, talent advisory, or research-intensive consulting
Proven ability to manage complex assignments with clarity and precision
Strong project management and communication skills, both written and verbal
Confident working with data, frameworks, and behavioural evaluation tools
Motivated by purpose, not pressure, you value fairness, rigour, and long-term trust
Interested in leadership, governance, and culture within purpose-driven organisations
You may currently be a Senior Associate ready for more responsibility, or an established Consultant looking for a firm that matches your standards.
About the Organisation
Philanthrope LLP is a cooperative executive search and leadership advisory firm, where co-ownership creates continuity, accountability, and deep client investment. We are trusted by investors, B Corps, and boards who want leadership decisions to serve the long term.
Our consultants are co-owners, with a direct say in governance and a share in profits. Clients benefit from a stable, accountable team invested in outcomes that last, not transactions that don’t.
We work with values-led organisations, from B Corps to responsible investors, to appoint and develop leaders who align purpose with performance and culture with governance.
Our approach combines a structured, five-stage search process with behavioural insight, co-ownership, and shared accountability, ensuring a rigorous, human-centred experience from role definition through integration. We don’t just fill roles, we help shape leadership that builds culture, serves stakeholders, and delivers lasting value — whether by strengthening board succession, aligning leadership with values, or supporting scale without losing integrity.
If you take the craft of search seriously and want to do meaningful work inside a firm built for long-term trust, this is a rare opportunity to grow within a cooperative model designed for depth, quality, and purpose.
What We Offer:
• Co-ownership from day one: A share in profits, governance, and long-term direction
• Structured progression: A clear pathway towards Principal and Partner levels based on contribution, not tenure
• Transparent earnings: Revenue attribution and profit share that reward both delivery and collaboration
• Purpose-driven work: Leadership assignments that shape social and environmental impact
• Psychologically informed search: Training in behavioural and narrative-based evaluation
• A serious but human culture: Grounded, kind, and intellectually ambitious — without ego, noise, or bureaucracy
